'Enjoy sub-$40K Bitcoin' — PlanB stresses $100K average BTC price from 2024

Image
Bitcoin is in its "pre-bull market" phase and the days of BTC price trading at current levels are numbered, the Stock-to-Flow creator says. Bitcoin (BTC) buyers should “enjoy” the chance to add to their stack below $40,000, says one of crypto’s household names. In a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Nov. 24, PlanB, creator of the Stock-to-Flow family of BTC price models, hinted that current levels would not be around long. PlanB: Time is ticking on $40,000 resistance Bitcoin is destined to go much higher than its recent 18-month highs, PlanB believes, and time is ticking to increase BTC exposure below $40,000. Known for his optimistic takes on long-term BTC price growth, PlanB this time used realized price data to support the case for bulls. Realized price is Bitcoin’s realized cap — the sum total price at which all BTC last moved — divided by the current supply. It is currently at just below $21,000. Bitcoin remains prone to volatility, while further downside offers the "path of least resistance" for BTC price next, analysis warns. Bitcoin (BTC) saw a classic pullback after the Nov. 16 Wall Street open as deja vu BTC price action continued. BTC/USD 1-hour chart. Source: TradingView Analysis: Door open to deeper BTC price correction Data from Cointelegraph Markets Pro and TradingView followed Bitcoin as it descended to $36,470 — down over $1,000 on the day. The landscape closely followed events from earlier in the week, where bulls failed to flip new highs to support and endured long liquidations. These were less present on the day, with around $21 million of BTC longs wiped out at the time of writing, per data from monitoring resource CoinGlass. On Nov. 14, the tally reached $120 million. Machine learning algorithm sets Terra Classic price for November 30, 2023

Image
Recently, Terra Classic (LUNC), the original chain of the collapsed Terra (LUNA) ecosystem, has experienced shifts in its value, which has seen its value settle at $0.000064 at the time of writing.  Binance recently burned 760 million Terra Classic (LUNC) tokens, bringing the total to 39.5 billion. This burn amounted to 50% of October’s trading fees, valued at $47,465. Despite a reduction in monthly burns, Binance remains the primary contributor to the LUNC burn campaign, with total burns now worth $2.47 million. There’s a proposal to extend Binance’s support to TerraClassicUSD (USTC), the ecosystem’s stablecoin. As the cryptocurrency market made a surprising upward move in October, turning many assets’ monthly charts green, the same happened to Terra Classic, and a question arises: what value will this crypto settle at by the end of the month? Finbold has tapped into the potential of machine learning algorithms (AI) to anticipate the price of this asset by...

BTC open interest at YTD high doesn’t move prices, but traders can rely on bots

Image
Bitcoin’s open interest has surged, signaling market resilience despite a lack of consolidation above $30,000, but what does this mean for crypto investors? Bitcoin (BTC) open interest has been ascending for months, suggesting the market’s resilience even though the largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization hasn’t consolidated above the psychological level of $30,000. At the beginning of August 2023, Coinalyze data showed that the Bitcoin open interest figure returned to break above $10 billion, maintaining close to the highest level since the beginning of May 2022. The figure updated the year-to-date high on Aug. 9. Open interest is a metric that reflects the volume of unsettled futures, potentially indicating the confidence of the market to leave positions open. This is an important gauge, given that a good chunk of Bitcoin trading occurs on futures trading platforms, such as those offered by Binance, Bybit, OKX and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME). Futures contracts enab...

Having paused the hiking cycle, which began in late 2021, this month, Powell nonetheless stressed that there was still room for further policy tightening. “Really, policy hasn’t been restricted for very long,” ...

Ethereum network upgrade and uptick in Arbitrum active users could trigger an ARB price reversal

Image
Positive Ethereum and Arbitrum network developments and the eventual improvement in crypto investor sentiment could lend a boost to ARB price. While Arbitrum’s governance token ARB has been in a consistent downturn since the airdrop in late March, its ecosystem shows healthy growth.  A recent Nansen report shows that Arbitrum’s activity improved after the airdrop, stabilizing “at a level higher” than before the airdrop. The daily active users, gas fees and transaction count maintained consistent higher levels on the Ethereum rollup since April 2023. The gap between the number of active users on Arbitrum and Optimism widened after the Aribtrum airdrop, closing in on Ethereum. Daily Active Users of Arbitrum, Ethereum and Optimism (past 6 months). Bitcoin price will get 'another test' of 200-week trend line — analyst

A crucial BTC price support is coming back into the picture with Bitcoin bulls struggling below $27,000. Bitcoin (BTC) fell to multi-day lows at the June 5 Wall Street open as action heated up on exchanges. BTC/USD 1-hour candle chart on Bitstamp. Source: TradingView Van de Poppe: Trend line failure could mean "bottom isn't in yet" Data from Cointelegraph Markets Pro and TradingView showed BTC/USD wicking to $26,640 on Bitstamp. Down nearly 3% versus the weekend’s highs, the pair looked weak as key support lines inched closer. Among these was the 200-week moving average (MA), now at $26,400, which had weathered repeated tests to stay as support since mid-March. “Bitcoin is going to get another retest of support at the 200-Week MA (purple),” Keith Alan, co-founder of monitoring resource Material Indicators, warned in commentary on the weekly chart. “IMO, a Weekly candle close below the 200-Week MA would be an indication that the bottom isn't in yet. Bitcoin price rallies to $29.4K as traders gear up for this week’s CPI print

Image
BTC’s rally to $29,400 comes as the all important CPI report releases on April 12 and traders debate whether the Federal Reserve will pivot. Bitcoin (BTC) rose to its highest level in ten months on April 10 as traders await this week's April 12 consumer price index report to gain deeper insight into the Federal Reserve's fight against sticky inflation. If the report shows inflation dropping, it could be the next possible catalyst that further's BTC's upward move.  On April 10, BTC price soared 3.37% to over $29,300 after a quiet Easter weekend. Interestingly, Bitcoin's intraday gains appeared alongside a drop in U.S. equities, a rare decoupling that highlights the coin's diminishing risk-on characteristics. BTC price metric that cued biggest Bitcoin bull runs breaks out at $23K

Image
Bitcoin’s January performance has sparked an event that has preceded the start of every macro bull market, data reveals. A little-known Bitcoin (BTC) price metric has just given a new bull run signal — and it has never been wrong. As noted on Feb. 8 by Caleb Franzen, senior market analyst at Cubic Analytics, the Williams %R oscillator has left its bottom zone for the first time since May 2022. Analyst: Oscillator crossover is a “great sign” Bitcoin gaining 40% in January and continuing to hold higher levels has produced breakout signals across various on-chain indicators. Some analysts are cautious, opting to wait and see if the improved conditions last, but for Franzen, the data coming from the Williams %R oscillator is of particular interest. Williams %R is a momentum oscillator that measures how near BTC/USD is to its recent highs or lows. Momentum oscillators are utilized to measure the strength of a price trend, and Bitcoin’s January performance has made it a prime test case. ...
